De Tour de France versa doping en de val van het kabinet

Het is ongelofelijk maar waar. Op een dag vallen er drie. Het kabinet, Ullrich en Basso. Het kabinet is grotendeels te wijten aan D'66 (daar stem ik dus niet meer op), maar toch ook aan alle anderen de zo ophef over Ayaan Hersi Ali maakte. Want, hoe erg vindt ze het nou allemaal nog. Ze zit in Amerika en begint een nieuw leven. En het kabinet valt over haar. Zielig. Harry Potter wordt naar huis gestuurd door een feeks/heks.... Volgende stap is dat we na het zomerreces weer naar nieuwe verkiezingen gaan. Heel fijn, was juist zo blij dat ik nog een jaar mocht nadenken over welke politiek gedrocht mijn stem zou krijgen (zo, die frustratie is weg).

Dan Basso en Ullrich (en Mancebo, die deed het vorig jaar toch ook lekker?). Een mogelijke dopingszaak. Wat is er gebeurt met not guilty till proven otherwise? T-mobile gooit twee mogelijke kanshebbers eruit, zonder dat er bewijs is. Wellicht is het nooit gebeurt en zij zitten een dag voorde tour zonder kopman en zonder helper. Willen ze de Tour niet winnen? Blijkbaar niet. Eenzelfde geldt voor Mancebo. Laat ze toch lekker starten. Mocht het foute boel zijn, dan kunnen ze nog altijd teruggetrokken worden. Of hebben ze toch ergens beijws gevonden , onweerlegbaar bewijs. Niet een contact met een arts, want dat is verdacht, maar nog geen bewijs.

Nou ja, wellicht gaat Valverde nou twee weken in het geel rijden?

Wat is er nou flauwer dan op je verjaardag beroerd wakker te worden, naar je werk te gaan, je drie slagen rond te werken en vervolgens weer beroerd naar huis te gaan. Geen zin in taart of drankje hebbende.Alleen naar bed willen.

't is wat met mij en mijn verjaardagen. Vorig jaar staakte het openbaar vervoer in Amsterdam en nu ben ik weer ziekig. Nou ja, we gaan gewoon weer hopen dat volgend jaar om 12 uur de droomprins wel naast mij ligt, bij het wakker worden er een miljoen op mijn rekening staat (die ook nog eens eerlijk en echt van mij is) en ik een baan heb waar ik nog eindeloos mee aan de slag kan. Of misschien word ik wel wakker ergens in Zuid-Amerika. Dat zou pas leuk zijn!

Nou ja, laten we deze dag maar herinneren als veteranendag, de dag waarop Van Basten bekend maakt dat hij op vakantie naar Portugal gaat, als de dag waarop Verdonk en Balkenende weer eens in zwaar weer raken, de dag waarop de baby van Sylvie van der Vaart - Meis een maand en een dag oud is en als de dag waarop de opleiding SJD werd geaccrediteerd.

Brazilië, Argentinië, Italië....

Wie zal het worden. Mijn allergrootste favoriet is er al uit. Nederland natuurlijk, maar ook Spanje. Spanje met Raul, Villa, Casillas, Reyes en de rest...Ik had toch echt gedacht dat ze het deze keer beter zouden doen. Oh en niet te vergeten Australië, wat waren die dicht bij! Wat ongelofelijk flauw dat die goal zo laat nog gescoord werd! Ik had het Hiddink en zijn soccoroos zo ontzettend gegund om nog een ronde verder te gaan.

In plaats daarvan zitten we opgescheept met Frankrijk (Zidane, blugh) Italië (heel veel blugh), Argentinië(momenteel principieel blugh), Duitsland (ze zullen toch niet in eigen huis wereldkampioen worden, zou echt te erg voor woorden zijn, laat ze er tegen Duitsland maar snel uitgaan, 3 doelpunten tegen in 15 minuten of zo), Engeland (laat Portugal dan maar winnen, voorzover zij nog ergens komen met een team vol gele en rode kaarten), Portugal (zie hiervoor) Ukraine(ben niet zo voor deze verrassing van het toernooi) of Brazilië ...zijn die het al niet vaak genoeg geweest, en ze doen deze keer alweer niet aan het bekende sambavoetbal...

Nou, oke, kleine voorspelling:

Duitsland - Argentinie 2 - 3 ... Mijn liefde voor Buenos Aires en Patagonie laat mij over veel zaken heen stappen.

Italie - Oekraine 1 - 0 ... kiezen uit twee onmogelijkheden.

Engeland - Portugal 1 - 2 ... Portugal blijft een leuk vakantieland, het is alleen de vraag of ze het redden met zoveel geel in de achterban.

Brazilie - Frankrijk 2 - 1 Brazilië heeft gewoon mazzel dat ik een ongelofelijke hekel aan Frankrijk heb, met zijn Thierry Henry die alleen goed speelt als ik niet kijk. En ach, wie weet komen ze nog ergens tot samba voetbal, of slachten Argentinië en Brazilië elkaar af in de finale.

Kleine opmerking op het einde: Is dit niet een beetje het toernooi van de scheidsrechters?

We, the Dutch, only won once of the Portugese, but it seemed that every one was pretty sure that we would make it this time. Because this time we had the change to become World champion in Germany, and wouldn't that be something to fight for? Probably. But Portugal was, once more, stronger, tougher and smarter then the Dutch, and so it was a story about how the Dutch went down.

Despite all the chances we got and all the possibilities, Portugal was stronger party. Point of attention was the referee. What the hell was he thinking? Fourteen yellow cards (and 4 red) in one match??? On forehand everyone knew it would be tough. Just let it be tough and let them play! Oh well, maybe we will be lucky in two years and we do not have to meet Portugal till the finals....

For me, as Dutch person, not the nicest game to watch. The refferee kind of screwed the game. Felt like there was missing something...something sparkling, but guess that is the problem of the World cup.

A not so nice 0 -0, but if one of this two will be world champion, the other is as good. But they ( the Argentines) are the lucky ones because they will meet Mexico, and "we" Portugal. Hope we will meet again in the finals ... and lets get to the bottom of who is best... (with a different refferee and all the best players).

Maybe we did not play as nice as Argentina, maybe they scored like 5 times more than we did, but together with Argentina we are through.... And now it is time play rock 'n roll together in Holland -Argentina next Wednesday. Can be one of the greatest games this championship.

But what about the match? It wasn't great, but it was exciting. If the Dutch would win, they would be through, already after to matches! I was so nervous and excited, but after half time I got really nerves. It looked like it would be all given away. Something so Dutch, having it all and giving it away in the last minute. But luckily we have Robin van Persie, who has a great shoulder that keeps the ball away from the goal when Van der can not reach for the ball.

What else went on? Well, Robben who whispers in Van Persies' ear (right before he scores) I will be hanging around your shoulder in like 20 seconds and Drogba who craps Van Bommel in his balls...little peace of shit.

Before I quitt for today, lets'talk a second about Drogba. What a special person is that. I just can not keep my eyes from him, tall, slender and impressive eyes. Eyes you can drown in, but also eyes that gives you a shiver because they are as could as a slaughterer. Really impressed. An truly good soccerplayer; extremely quick, killers instinct, a dangerous mean toe and a nose for the golden goal. Happy he did not make it today. He is impressive in a strange maybe negative way.

My sister came over to watch the game in Amsterdam. Not the best idea as the temperature got up to 30 degrees...inside and outside. But it should not put the feeling down and we made some nice snacks and settled ourselves in front of the telly.

I was a bit affraif of this game. Not a great feeling. I had the feeling it would be a harse game. I would prefer Argentina above Serbia -Montenegro.

But I worried way too much. The game wasn't spectaculat, but solid. Robben made a really nice goal, and put a great weight ogf his shoulder. He was truly the man of the match...but it was a pity he did not score more then once. Heitinga made a stupid mistake, by waiting too long. Next is Cote d'ivoire.... let's pray we will win as wel

Mexico - Iran

I was expecting that Mexico would walk over Iran, but I was so surprised that they did not. It even came to 1 - 1. In the end the Mexicans took over (the others were clearly too tired) and they won by 3 to 1.... Nothing too special. A clear win.

Portugal - Angola

It is truly too warm to stay inside... I am moving outside again! Hmm, An one to zero win for Portugal, but what I saw pretty much sucked. They will have a hard time being first in their group.

Germany - Costa Rica 4-2

I thought it would be 2 for Germany and 0 for Costa Rica. But to my surprise Costa Rica was able to score two times and Germany "only" scored four times. Don't get me wrong, four is a lot, but it wasn't that Costa Rica was camping around their goal... and only a two goals' difference (I got that right)! Strangest thing of the game: the defence of Germany...where were they (I mean it was pretty soon obvious that there was no serious defence at the Costa Rica side, but not at the German side came kind like a surprise...

De Argentine Three did an overall good job.

Poland - Ecuador 0 -2

It just wasnt ment to be.... Pour Poland. It seemed so easy, but 'we should not forget that Ecuador had a nice serie in their way to Germany (although they played on an enormous hight in Ecuador). And wanted to fight! The game was okay, not that exciting. Most memorable moment...the faces of the fans of Poland after the second goal of Ecuador. Totally flabbergasted... not knowing what to say or how to look!

Total: Well I was right that Germany would win, but with different numbers and Ecuador who wins where I thought it would be 1-1....

England - Paraguay 1 - 0

Four years ago I was cheering for Paraguay, I really thought they should get on to the next level, and I wanted the same for them this year. But within 4 minutes Beckham was able to get a right angle at the ball and score. And making it even worse a few minutes later when some replay showed it was an own goal. Sucks. But there were also some nice things. It seemed that some Englishmen were nice to look at. The game was a bit harse and in my opinion it seemed that the refferee was a bit in favor of Paraguay. I will be closer to the telly next time. Today I was trying to stand the heat outside.

Trinidad&Tobago - Sweden 0 - 0

I guess most people were pretty sure that T&T had no chance to get anywhere, but the Swedish coach had not the guts to let his team play with its most suitable eleven and so they had to swollow a bitter pill. And the carebean will be swinging tonight! When we look just at the looks... Sweden here I come, most of them may be blond, but they looked pretty nice!

Argentina - Cote d'ivoire 2 - 1

Maybe some Argentine men do not understand why women like Crespo, I certainly do! Although I had all my point (WC game) on Riquelme, I think Crespo did a better job. And probably Saviola even better.

Right after the first part I was a bit shocked, because it was really nice to see that both teams gave each other space to play, but they were both so good! Especially Cote d'Ivori could speed up enormously. What would the Dutch team do about that? But in the socond part, with Argentina on a save 2 - 1 win it got boring and slow... Till Drogba scored in the 83th minute. And all of a sudden everything and everybody was back in the game. But it ain't gonna make a difference. Amair (finally) is getting in the team, but there is no need for that, because one minute later the game is over. 2 - 1 for Argentina.

Voorspelling eerste 5 wedstrijden

Kleine voorspelling voor de komende twee dagen. Is geheel gegokt, want ik heb eigenlijk geen idee. Moet denk ik eerst iedereen een keer hebben zien spelen. En dat gaat vandaag al niet lukken, want ik ga lekker sporten. Nou ja, we zullen wel dood gegooid worden met herhalingen…..

Interessant leesvoer voor degenen die geld hopen te gaan verdienen aan WK Voetbal poules. Een Australische statisticus heeft voor elk deelnemend land de kans becijferd hoe ver het gaat komen in het WK.

Volgens statisticus Andrew Patterson is de kans dat het Nederlandse team wereldkampioen wordt 5%. De kans voor Nederland om bij de laatste zestien te komen is 67%, de kans om mee te spelen in de kwartfinale 40%, op een halve finaleplaats 21% en op een finaleplaats 10%.

Volgens het rekenmodel heeft favoriet Brazilië 29% kans om wereldkampioen te worden, Engeland en Duitsland beiden 10%, Argentinië 8%, Frankrijk en Italië allebei 7% en Nederland en Spanje elk 5%. De overige vierentwintig deelnemers hebben samen maar 19% kans. Zo heeft hekkensluiter Trinidad & Tobago, een kans van precies 0,0% het WK te winnen. De kans dat die ploeg de eerste ronde doorkomt is maar slechts 6%.

Patterson heeft statistiek gestudeerd aan de universiteit van het Australische Swinburne. Tegenwoordig verdient hij de kost als professioneel gokker. Zijn rekenmodel is gebaseerd op ondermeer inschattingen van bookmakers, de loting en eerdere uitslagen. Centraal in de berekeningen staat de kans welk team de onderlinge confrontatie wint.

Of de voorspellingen ook uitkomen blijft natuurlijk altijd de vraag. Professor Clarke van dezelfde Australische universiteit wijst er op dat het scoren van een goal in voetbal een vrij zeldzaam voorkomende factor is. "Wanneer het sterkere team verwacht twee goals per wedstrijd te scoren, en het zwakkere slechts één, dan heeft het sterkere team statistisch 61% kans om te winnen, maar het zwakkere toch nog 18%."

Japanners in het park

Ik heb het al een tijdje in mijn hoofd. Het valt mij namelijk elke dag op. Elke dag als ik op weg ga naar mijn werk kom ik ik weet niet hoeveel oude Japannertjes. Ze kletsen heel luidruchtig, eentje is al luid pratend net aan het doen alsof ze hardloopt en de rest loopt ook met de armen zwaaiend rondjes te lopen en volgens mij eindigen ze altijd bij een van de klimrekken, want daar hangen ze dan in bij te kletsen...Voor zover dat ze dat al wandeld nog niet hadden gedaan.

Niets bijzonders dus, maar ik vind het elke morgen grappig en wilde het graag melden.

Jong Oranje Europees kampioen

Heel erg leuk! Wanneer worden ze gehuldigd? Feestje in Amsterdam?

Ook heel erg fijn dat Huntelaar het zo goed heeft gedaan, even een bevestiging van de vorm. Jammer dat ie niet mee kan met Oranje, want dat zou een goede ervaring zijn. Andere kant, volgend seizoen zal weer druk zijn, dus een beetje rust zal geen kwaad doen. Hij moet niet als Maduro zo ontzettend gedurende het seizoen instorten.

Anyway, later misschien meer....

Marco van Basten over zijn Ajax tijd

Gisterenavond hing ik voor de tv en viel midden in een praatprogramma met Marco van Basten en zijn voetbaltijd in Nederland. En ik vond het eerlijk gezegd bijna hartverschreurend. Hij claimde zijn voetbalbeelden nooit te hebben teruggekeken, vond het redelijk moeilijk en gaf ook ergens toe dat hij vond dat hij nog echt niet klaar was met voetbal. Dat hij een van de grote had kunnen worden, een Cruijf of misschien wel beter, maar dat dat nooit duidelijk zal worden. En meest pijnlijk, hij vind dat hij een fout heeft gemaakt rondom de enkel. Toen de blessure er net was en hij toch een Europacup wedstrijd is gaan spelen. Het leek wel of hij zich afvroeg of het, als hij toen rust had genomen, het anders was gelopen. Het leuke was trouwens het Ajax van toen te zien. Ik geloof dat ik bij wijze van een handvol trainers (inclusief Van Gaal bij een andere club) van Ajax in een team samenspelend heb gezien.

Ik wist trouwens niet dat zijn enkel al aan bagger was (dat ie constant mank liep) voordat hij Ajax veliet...

Watching Roland Garros ...

Yesterday I watched bits and peaces of Nadal versus Matthieu. It has been a while since I watched some tennis, so I had to get back in. But I had lots of time to get back into it, because it took ages for nadal to sent Mattieu home. I made it through the first two hours but then it just was too much. I wanted to see a quick win, not a struggle.

Next (today) was Robredo - Ancic. As I was watching the first set, I had a feeling this was gonna be THE game. A lot of really nice rally's. But halfway the second set everything changed. Ancic started to make lots of unforces mistakes. Robredo just had to make sure the really would go on and Ancic would make an mistake. Kind of irritated me and I started to some household things.... up till the fith set, where all the thrills game back. It first seemed that Ancic would go for an almost straight set, but a stumbling and injured Robredo game back into the game. In the end Ancic won and it all wasn't as excited as I hoped, but still a lot better then Nadal - Mattieu.

Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis - een echo van het hart

Vrijdagochtend was het weer ver, deel twee van mijn Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis experience voor het hartruisje. Het opstaan op vrijdag viel niet mee, want donderdag avond was ik wezen borrelen met collega's. En ik had van te voren bedacht dat ik om half negen uiterlijk weg zou gaan, maar uiteindelijk wandelde ik pas rond half een Eik en Linde uit. En dat zonder een normale avondmaaltijd. Dus maar even langer blijven liggen en direct vanuit huis naar het ziekenhuis gefietst.

Ik had om half tien een afspraak, maar was er al om negen uur. Moest ik eerst even uitzoeken waar ik precies heen moest (echokamer...dat vind je niet op het plattegrondje) maar oten ik het wist, kon ik snel mijn telefoontje uitzetten en naar boven wandewlen. Dit uitzoeken heeft trouwens niet meer dan vijf minuten gekost, want om vijf over negen leverde ik mijn ponspasje in (ik riep het meisje nog na dat ik pas om half tien een afspraak had, maar ik kreeg iets terug dat ze hier ook wel eens konden voorlopen) en weer vijf minuten later lag ik met ontbloot bovenlijf op de onderzoekstafel en werd ik bevestigd aan de machine en werd er een apparaat met een klodder gel op mij gedrukt.

Ik kon de gehele tijd meekijken en ik moet zeggen, die 3D afbeelding van mijn hart vond ik wat ranzig (heel anders dan zo'n klomp vlees in CSI) al dat gepomp, maar het deel waar ik de bloedstromen kon zien en de klepjes open en dicht zag flapperen was wel stoer. Ook moesten er regelmatig even geluidsopnamen gemaakt worden waar ik volgens mij een kleine onregelmatigheid zag, maar ik kan het mis hebben.

Uiteindelijk was de eindconclusie dat er geen erge gebreken zijn, er loopt geenbloed weg en de klepjes functioneren naar behoren. Ik mocht op allerlei plekken de gel weghalen en kon weer rustg ademhalen. Het is toch wel een tip om de avond ervoor niet teroken als je dat niet gewned bent, want daar word je een beetje kortademig van en dat helpt niet echt als je heel lang je adem moet inhouden.

Volgende week donderdag een laatste telefonisch consult met de einduitslag.
